Climate Ready - support for adaptation from the Environment Agency

Friday, June 1, 2012

The Environment Agency (EA) have launched new web pages and an online helpdesk providing further information on the service and advice and guidance on the impacts of climate change and how to plan for them. Visit www.environment-agency.gov.uk/climateready to find out more and sign up to the new e-bulletin for the latest updates on Defra’s Climate Ready work on the national adaptation programme and the new Climate Ready support service.

Health and wellbeing is a key theme for this work. The EA will work with health and social care services, emergency planning and communities, particularly the most vulnerable, to help them prepare for a changing climate. A summary document is attached (PDF), which gives further information on how the EA will support the health and social care sector.
