Making Research Count
Knowledge cafes are an effective way of bringing people together to evolve plans and ideas through informal dialogue around particular issues. By bringing people together to discuss practice we hope to identify how research knowledge and expertise can better support practice.
Who is this for? Practitioners, managers, commissioners of services and training managers who are interested in developing more innovative ways for research to support practice and workforce development. Sectors may include Local authority Departments (such as Children and Young People’s services, Schools, Adult and Community Care departments; Youth Offending Teams and partners from across the Criminal justice system; Health Service Departments; Local Commissioning teams; Independent, Private and Third Sector providers and Community Organisations.
What will I get out of attending? By attending you will directly inform decisions about what research, learning and development opportunities UWE provides. Attendees will also benefit from networking, sharing and reflecting on practice with colleagues in neighbouring authority areas and across sectors, as well as learning more about the research strengths and opportunities at UWE.
